ARISE Mission Statement
The Association for Roof Inspection Safety Empowerment (ARISE) is dedicated to the reduction of risk associated with the task of all forms of roofing inspection. ARISE collects, evaluates, organizes and distributes information on accidents, products and process that is provided by its members (both corporate and individual) to promote safe practices within all roofing inspection trades industries.
WHY ARISE?
1) Hundreds (far too many) of roofing inspection trades professionals experience significant injuries every year with
consequences that range anywhere from temporary loss of revenue to career ending injuries and even loss of life.
2) The review of available roof inspection incident reports indicate numerous repetitive commonalities with respect to the
primary causes of injury producing occurences. Many seasoned RIT professionals have cultivated safety / survival skills
and understanding throughout their career with information generated from experience, close calls, mistakes and their
own accidents. This trial and error on an individual level is the primary process that the industry currently utilizes to
facilitate safety. Organized informational intervention is the very first step towards breaking industry trends that merely
perpetuate preventable risk.
3) Our Industry is not regulated by The United States Department of Labor / Occupational Safety & Health Administration,
under "Fall Protection" Regulations, as subpart M 1926.500 (a) (1) stipulates "the provisions of this subpart do not apply
when employees are making an inspection, investigation, or assessment of workplace conditions prior to the actual start
of construction work or after all construction work has been completed." AS MEMBERS OF THE ROOFING INSPECTION
TRADES INDUSTRY, WE MUST BE ACCOUNTABLE FOR OUR OWN SAFETY!

The Association for Roof Inspection Safety Empowerment (ARISE) is recognized as the leading professional resource for the facilitation of safe roofing inspection practice educational programs and learnings based on the sound consensus among professional representatives from all roof inspection trades industries.
BECOMING A MEMBER
There is no cost to becoming a member other than the agreement to anonomyously share factual roof inspection related incident information as it becomes available to you as well as the acceptance of ARISE terms and conditions. All members will receive bi-annual updates that will include incident data as well as information on existing and emerging products and their proper application for reducing risk while inspecting all types of roofing systems with an emphasis on multi-story / steep & slippery roof surfaces.
The information obtained from this website is to be used exclusively for the purposes of reducing physical risk associated with the Roof Inspection Trades Industries. All informational updates provided by ARISE on injuries, incidents and close calls is to be based on data that is assembled and delivered in an anonomous manner that provides for strict member confidentiality. All information distributed by this association will only be in connection with our mission statement. We will not sell, share (other than with other ARISE members on our distribution lists) or rent your e-mail address to any third party or use your contact information for unsolicited mail.
